A long forgotten Blade

Once upon a time, in a land long forgotten, where magic infused every aspect of daily life, a devastating war erupted. Countless lives were lost, and in the end, only one race emerged victorious: the Elves. Known for their resilience, strength, and remarkable longevity, the Elves were revered and feared for their wisdom.

In the aftermath of the Great War, a legendary sword remained. This sword once belonged to a formidable warrior who tragically perished in the conflict. Over the centuries, the sword's handle decayed, but nature had other plans. A plant as hard as steel, known as Ironwood, entwined itself around the blade's tang. Alongside this, a magical stone embedded in the vines significantly slowed the blade's deterioration, preserving it for ages to come.

Credits

This sword is the outcome of my Project in "3D Surfaces". A module that is part of my VIS course of study at HS Ansbach, in which we had to model and texture an optimized asset for Realtime Rendering. I modelled the sword in Blender and used Substance Painter 3D to texture it.
